  • Still a developing country, the Chinese government targets a carbon peak by 2030 and neutrality by 2060

Forbes, Huge Growth in Fusion Energy Industry, Shows New Report

  • Private fusion company funding has doubled in past year, amounting to $4.8 bn

  • Kyoto Fusioneering, a 2019 tech startup, has begun constructing the first integrated testing facility for fusion power plant equipment

  • The potential of fusion is huge, it could be a driver of decarbonizing our global economy

  • New fusion investments may make this source a reality in two decades

 

Reuters, EU launches 5.4-billion-euro hydrogen project

Summary 📖 :

  • Jointly funded by 15 EU countries and 35 companies, including Daimler Trucks, Enel, and Orsted

  • Funding will support 41 projects focused on hydrogen generation storage, and distribution, particularly in the mobility sector

  • Largely spurred by Russia’s invasion of Ukraine as Europe seeks to diversify its energy resources
