Science fiction?! Maybe not anymore. Scientists at CalTech think it's possible, and could be developed soon. Plus, reports indicate the levelized cost of captured solar energy from space, after 18 month development plans, could be lower than that of wind farms with battery back up. Learn more here
2) ⚡️ Fusion to Power AI?!:
Developments in AI mean increased energy demands of data centers. This problem is becoming increasingly difficult to solve as we try to reach net-zero goals. Sam Altman, ChatGPT's boss, has said fusion is the solution to this problem. But is that realistic? Learn more here
3) 📊 Back to Gas:
Europe is transitioning from increased coal usage (which began in the wake of the War on Ukraine) to natural gas as wholesale prices fall. Some countries have even phases out coal completely. This is an encouraging sign of Europe's commitment to a greener future. Learn more here
