Yes, it is, according to brand new legislation in North Carolina. Utilities can now use nuclear to meet their targets of 12.5% clean or renewable power. A big appeal of nuclear is that it is available 24/7, unlike traditional renewables. Learn more here

The energy transition must be equitable for it to succeed, and civil society organizations are key in ensuring that this is the case.
