1)💸 $3.5 Bill for the Grid:
The Biden Administration just announced a plan to build out 58 projects to strengthen electric grid resilience. This $3.5 billion dollar plan is the US's largest ever investment in grid infrastructure. Learn more here
2) $1.82 for Gas Pipelines:
Kinder Partners to acquire NextEra Energy Partners' gas pipelines in South Texas for $1.82 billion. These pipes have a transport capacity of 4.9 billion cubic feet per day. Learn more here
3) 👀 Annual Oil & Gas Licenses in the UK :
The UK government has announced a plan to make oil and gas project licenses be renewed annually, given these licenses meet net zero targets. The plan is supposed to bolster energy security, but will it? Learn more here
⚡️Energy Startups of Tomorrow Workshop
This Thursday, 11/09, at 6:30 PM EST, Energy Terminal's Community Hub will be hosting an event with Eric Vettel, President of the American Energy Society.
Join Eric in a discussion of the future of the energy startup space.
Eric and the American Energy Society team spoke with commercialization officers at ~160 colleges/ universities to collect a dataset of 2000+ startups. Eric will be presenting their analysis and observations of this data set and then will turn the floor to Community Hub members to have an interactive discussion. This gives all participants an opportunity to aid in the American Energy Society's analysis!
This is a fantastic opportunity to learn more about the future of the energy startup space, as well as a chance to see what analysis of a startup looks like (VC & investor hopefuls I'm looking at you 👀).
